Nightweave does have a lot more workers than normal players so that is something to keep in mind and they are more likely to block you out of worker locations during the mid to late game. To refuse these cookies, please follow the instructions below under the heading "How can I control cookies? The box cover makes it look like an epic adventure where you (and potentially a friend) face off against Nightweave, but all that really happens is Nightweave is another player playing the base game of Everdell. You won’t always know what Nightweave is about to do, so there’s a surprise element, but for me, part of the fun in playing against bots is trying to figure out how I can use their scripts to work against them. If you like Everdell enough to want to play it solo, and you’re looking for the best way to do that, Mistwood is what you’re looking for.

Why not change the gameplay significantly so it feels more like its own bonafide co-op experience and less like a half-baked co-op experience? Sure, she has some powers, but it’s nowhere near the exciting co-op experiences offered by the likes of Aeon’s End. Thus, you don’t have to worry about getting what essentially amounts to half the content of the crowdfunded edition (I’m looking at you Pearlbrook…). Beyond Nightweave, Mistwood also includes additional farm cards that afford players different types of farms that have different green powers. In short, I wanted Mistwood to be more like the game advertised on the cover of the box where animals are teaming up to fight Nightweave, not like the one I’m used to playing with other players. The legend cards do offer a bit of guidance at the start of the game with you looking for a certain critter and construction and sometimes you can use this to build an overall strategy if you can draw them fast enough.

In the case of Mistwood, however, I am more than willing to make an exception to the rule as I genuinely think this is an essential expansion if you have the slightest interest in playing Everdell solo. Pit your wits against Nightweave and her sticky schemes in solo or two-player games, and recruit heroes of yore from the More Legends and Corrin Evertail expansion packs as well as transform your farms with the Through Every Season expansion pack! She’ll build cards and gain points in a way that mimics a real player very well, but she doesn’t react to other player’s decisions. You can also see most of the cards that Nightweave picks up and giving them low point cards from various card effects may seem terrible, but if you give 1- or 2-point cards this will help reduce the chance of Nightweave playing the high point cards that they may have acquired over the course of the game. There are 3 possible modules that you can add to Nightweave to change up the gameplay, personalities, plans and plots.

We will use anonymous information about the ad you saw and how you engaged with it to measure and improve our advertising campaigns in the future. Discover more legends with Everdell: Mistwood, as you travel through every season and utilise 8 unique new farms. Thus, I’m immensely excited to be able to review Mistwood; the latest expansion to Everdell which introduces a completely new solo mode where you will be competing against the cunning and villainous spider Nightweave! Pit your wits against Nightweave's in solo or two-player games, and recruit heroes of yore like Corrin Evertail himself. They can also visit your open locations in your tableau, so you are more incentivised to use these earlier in a round than later to stop Nightweave blocking them.Similarly, there’s the Corrin Evertail module that chronicles the life and adventures of the legendary founder of Everdell through a series of interlocking critters and location cards! The new legend cards function to a similar manner to the collector’s edition legend cards with you being dealt one critter and construction at the start of the game.
